Broadmoor Storage Solutions is proud to unveil The Insomniac, a unique self service rental center at its West Pasco location.  

The first of its kind in southeastern Washington, the Insomniac offers customers the ability to rent a unit or make a payment.  It also allows them to update their account information, gives virtual tours, prints leases and dispenses locks so that a customer can immediately move in without waiting for the assistance of a manager.  

The Insomniac is a sexy indoor kiosk that is located in an enclosed vestibule, similar to what banks have for their ATMs.  It is available from 6 a.m. until 11p.m. and allows customers to rent outside of the regular store hours or when the manager is busy.  “With our Insomniac, we hope to never have a prospect walk out on us because they have to wait for the manager to finish helping another customer, or they need to rent after hours,” says Kees Koster, president of Broadmoor Storage Solutions.  

Some of the unique features that are part of Broadmoor Storage Solutions’ kiosk are:

  • Megan, Insomniac’s animated, “anytime” manager that guides customers through the rental and payment process;
  • A bright touch screen monitor for easy reading and menu navigation;
  • A built-in digital video camera that takes tenant photos;
  • A fingerprint scanner to document new tenants and deter wrongdoers;
  • A digital signature pad for signing leases;
  • A driver license scanner to capture new tenant information;
  • A credit card reader;
  • A cash bill accepter to validate and record currency denominations up to $100;
  • A speaker phone with auto-dialer for after hours or offsite customer service;
  • A lock dispenser that provides a tamper resistant cylinder lock to tenants;

Broadmoor Storage Solutions is a new self-storage facility specializing in premium quality RV and boat storage, climate controlled business storage and personal storage.  The 70,000 sq. ft. facility, located of I-182 and Broadmoor Blvd., provides a large array of storage options with over 230 storage spaces available.  The facility’s store offers unique and practical moving and packing supplies, including boxes and other items designed to make moving easier.
